The Mama Mittens Story
It all began when I was shopping for my expected daughter. I noticed a gap in the market—there was no online-first kids clothing brand in Pakistan offering fabric that was both gentle enough for a child’s sensitive skin and special enough to gift. It was a common frustration. Almost every parent I knew complained about the lack of well-priced, high-quality kids wear in Pakistan. And then, when I became a parent myself, I started complaining too!
Driven by this need, I teamed up with exceptional craftspeople and manufacturers to create our innovative signature fabrics: Muslin & Waffle Net. Inspired by minimalist Japanese design, Mama Mittens was ready to make its debut in the world. I spent a lot of time thinking about what I wanted Mama Mittens to represent. I thought about the joy my daughter brought into our lives—her laughter, her delight in the simplest things, and her ability to create a magical world filled with fun and wonder. In many ways, my little one re-created me. And so, I created Mama Mittens as a tribute to the joy and fulfilment she brings every day.
